Privacy Policy

Get Sideloaded ("we") runs getsideload.com, a directory of installable web apps. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect

Browsing: no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics. Our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, browser, page) for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
App submissions: app name, URL, description, category, developer name and contact email. Everything except the email is shown publicly once a listing is approved.
Conversion requests: repository URL, app name, email and optional website, used only to deliver the conversion you asked for.
Newsletter: your email address, used only to send Get Sideloaded updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or email us to be removed.
App checks: when you scan a URL, our server fetches that public page, its manifest and scripts. We don't store scans that aren't submitted.
Your device: we store a small preference in your browser (for example, that you dismissed the install banner). Listing pages load a QR-code script from cdnjs.cloudflare.com.

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it except with service providers that host our servers, or when required by law.

Apps listed here are run by their own developers on their own websites. When you open or install one, that developer's privacy policy applies.

To access, correct or delete your information, email hello@getsideload.com. We respond within 30 days.

Get Sideloaded is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

We'll update the date above when this policy changes, and announce material changes on the site.
